COGERSA is a company that was set up as a result of the collaboration of the Government of Asturias and several Town Halls of the central Asturian area. In this way, the aim was to solve the waste management problems that existed in the region and carry out a centralized solution.
Need
In a further step towards modernization, and transformation, as well as the continuation of waste management and collection, an R&D project promoted by COGERSA is developed.
This company of reference in the sector knew how to manage all its information but they did not have the suitable tool. That is why the company contacted ABAMobile and Sadim to carry out the SWC project. It is at this point when we developed an intelligent waste management app in accordance with the needs of COGERSA.
Need
Result
In this project, ABAMobile and Sadim-Grupo Hunosa, together with Cogersa, created the Smart Waste Collection (SWC). It is a custom mobile application developed with the latest technologies and it gives visibility to all the services that are carried out by the consortium.
Smart Waste Collection is based on software that uses big data to achieve objectives such as reducing food waste, make food donations easier, and promoting recycling in Asturias.
ABAMobile has been in charge of developing the software and implementing the hardware to track Cogersa assets that are involved in the project, such as vehicles.
