APP DEVELOPMENT
Travelers can check timetables, routes, and bus stops through the app Alsa Regional. Also, they can buy tickets and consult the whole information.
This is a new version with an actual design and now it is available not only in Asturias but in Ibiza too.
ALSA is one of the most important companies in Spain in the sector of passenger transport by road. After being integrated into The National Express Group, ALSA works in different countries around the world. It has achieved to initiate its activity in such difficult markets like the Moroccan or the Chinese one. With over one hundred years of experience, ALSA continues to innovate and introduce new technologies to its modern fleet and new services to meet the citizens’ needs.
The main objective of ALSA was to provide a mobile app that was focused on users. ALSA wanted to solve one of its technology challenges by developing a tool that made the purchase of tickets and the boarding easier. In addition, ALSA wanted to introduce technologies to put the mobile phone as the main tool for user experience.
Once the first ALSA Regional app version was developed, now ALSA has launched this mobile service in Ibiza. In this way, the company wants to expand its business to other regions of Spain.
As a result, we have developed a new version of the app ‘ALSA Regional’. With this new update, it will be available in Ibiza too.
Users can buy tickets, see the routes, and consult the most suitable timetable of the buses. Also, they might locate a certain bus and know when it will arrive at a bus stop due to StreetView information. In real-time!
We have developed a mobile application with a simple interface and a good design thanks to the technologies used. In this way, we could create the best user experience, and accomplish our client needs.
IDEPA has partially financed the TransportYou project within the RIS3-Company Program for open innovation projects in 2017.
