APP DEVELOPMENT
The mobile application connects the main recycling and reuse points of the project.
In addition, a general model has been sought with adaptations so that it can be functional both in cities such as Córdoba and in rural areas such as New Deir Allaa or Capannori.
The Reusemed project is led by the Municipal Waste Management Company of Cordoba (SADECO) with the participation of the National Association of Public Environmental Companies (ANEPMA). It aims to promote the reuse of products, favouring the creation of a more sustainable circular economy.
Reusemed thus promotes the recycling of household appliances, furniture, books, clothes, and food through municipal networks based on reuse circuits. The project is being developed jointly by cities in Spain, Italy, Tunisia, and Jordan.
To carry out the project, food collection points are created, as well as repair and reuse centres that promote recycling and help users to be aware of the multiple possibilities of the products.
To promote the Reusemed project and connect the different agents involved in the process, a tool such as a mobile application was needed, whose navigation and usability would facilitate and encourage the recycling of products.
